Abstract

The invention provides a keyboard which is synchronous with a host computer, and a method. The keyboard comprises a keystroke module used for providing keystroke input for the user, a keyboard controller which is connected with the keystroke module and used for generating a corresponding lamp number signal according to the keystroke input and transmitting the lamp state to an external host computer, a memory device which is connected with the keyboard controller and used for memorizing the lamp number state, and a lamp number device which is connected with the keyboard controller and used for displaying the lamp number state, wherein, after the keyboard is initialized, the keyboard controllers leads the memory to read the lamp number state and displays the lamp number state in the lamp number device so as to lead the lamp number state of the lamp number device to be consistent to the lamp number state of the external host computer.
