Abstract

The invention provides a method for selecting carrier frequencies for an access terminal, which comprises the following steps: judging whether the reverse interference of all the carrier frequencies exceed the judgment threshold for the reverse interference; selecting the carrier frequency with the minimum reverse interference as the access carrier frequency of the access terminal if the reverse interference of all the carrier frequencies exceed the judgment threshold for the reverse interference; and selecting the carrier frequency with the reverse interference being less than or equal to the judgment threshold for the reverse interference as the access carrier frequency of the access terminal. When the access terminal accesses a radio communication network, the system side adopts the technical proposal to select a carrier frequency for the access terminal; by selecting a carrier frequency with relatively small reserve interference, the access terminal operating on the carrier frequency with a good radio environment greatly improves the service experience, and meanwhile makes reasonable use of the carrier frequency resource of the radio communication network, thereby fully utilizing idle carrier frequencies.
