The navigation system comprises a storing module which is stored with interest point information and an interest point searching module. The interest point information comprises interest point data, area index and classified index. The area index and classified index are related with the interest point data respectively according to the area and classified property of different interest point data. The interest point searching module comprises an area searching sub-module and a classifying searching sub-module which are connected with the storing module through information connection. The area searching sub-module and classifying searching sub-module respectively receive the area information and classifying information input by the user for searching the area index and classified index in the storing module and selecting the corresponding interest point data for outputting. Asthe area index and classified index related with the interest point data are set according to the invention, the screening can be further executed according to the classified information on the base of executing area searching. The interest point data unnecessary for the user is screened out and the searching result is more accurate.
