Abstract

The invention relates to a hand-held band saw, which includes a motor located in a housing for displacing a circumferentially closed saw band displaceable between a motor-driven driving roller and a deflection roller arranged, respectively, in first and second saw parts which are connected with each other by a bracket element, with the saw band having two band sections displaceable parallel to each other and next to each other in an operational region located between the deflection and driving rollers. The band sections define together a cut width (S), and the bracket element has, in the operational region, a width (B) that corresponds at most to the cut width (S).
