This invention discloses a five-cavity urethral
infusion catheter specifically designed for prostatectomy. The
catheter includes a tube body with five independent cavities: a
urination cavity for draining
urine, distally connected to a drainage orifice; a urethral infusion cavity for infusing medication, distally connected to a urethral infusion orifice; a first
balloon inflation cavity, distally connected to a first
balloon for fixation in the bladder trigone; a second
balloon inflation cavity, distally connected to a second balloon for urethral closure; and a third
balloon inflation cavity, distally connected to a third balloon for compressing the prostatectomy wound. The third balloon, located between the first and second balloons, is apple /
pear shaped and, when inflated, conforms to the prostatectomy wound. This invention, through its innovative three-balloon design and five-cavity structure, solves problems such as incomplete postoperative
hemostasis and difficulty in
medication infusion. The specially designed apple /
pear shaped balloon can precisely compress the wound, and in conjunction with the
medication infusion channels, significantly improves surgical outcomes.
