Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses an ant colony algorithm based camera calibrating method which comprises the following steps: the shooting picture of a camera is calibrated according to an arc-shaped calibrating template; parameter sets which correspond to all shooting parameters are acquired through linear calibration calculation; one element is randomly selected from each parameter set,the elements are randomly searched by ants and pheromone are left on the elements after finishing searching the elements; the pheromone on the elements in each parameter set is adjusted through the preset algorithm, and the pheromone is updated according to the result of the adjustment of the pheromone on the elements until the pheromone on the elements in each parameter set is converged in an optimum solution; and the optimum solution is outputted to be used as the camera calibrating result. Due to the embodiment of the invention, the ant colony algorithm is comprehensively applied in the parameter acquiring process when a camera is calibrated, thus the parameter relationship which really discloses the camera imaging is acquired, and the measuring result error is reduced in the shootingsystem calibrating step.
