Abstract

The invention relates to a peripherally inserted central catheter, which comprises a catheter and a closed needle-less infusion connector, wherein the catheter is connected with the closed needle-less infusion connector by a connecting device; and a catheter cut is formed on the catheter wall at a position deviating from the central axial surface of the catheter. The catheter cut is naturally closed when the blood is not drawn back and the liquid medicament is not transfused or injected, a negative pressure is generated in a catheter cavity when the blood is drawn back by medical personnel, the large lip of the catheter cut sinks inwards; a positive pressure is generated in the catheter cavity when the liquid medicament is injected or transfused by the medical personnel, the large lip of the catheter cut bulges outwards; therefore, the catheter cut functions as a two-way catheter valve and is used as the inlet and outlet for the liquid medicament transfusion and injection and the effective opening is formed to facilitate liquid medicament injection and transfusion. The peripherally inserted central catheter has the advantages of simple structure, convenient use, good liquid controllability over the medicament transfusion and injection and capability of avoiding catheter blockage.
