Abstract

The invention discloses a light source type positioning system and a method thereof. The light source type positioning system comprises a screen, an image acquisition device, a computer and a light source controller. The light source controller transmits light rays to form spots with different attributes on the screen; the image acquisition device is installed on the opposite side of the screen and transmits the shot image data to the computer. The computer reads the image data and judges whether high-brightness spots exist in the image according to the brightness value; if no high-brightness spots exists in the image, the computer reads the data continuously; and if high-brightness spots exists in the image, the position and the attribute of the light spot are determined. The computer further determines the operation object corresponding to the position of the spot, executes the operation command corresponding to the attribute of the spot and controls the screen to display the execution result.
