Abstract

The invention discloses a switching method for achieving circuit switching (CS), which comprises the following steps: a source controller initiates a switching preparation process to a target controller through an interconnection port between the controllers; the answer message of the target controller after resource reservation is finished is received; and the source controller transmits a switching command to a terminal according to the answer message of the target controller. By adopting the invention, switching time delay can be reduced, and the probability of phenomena such as call dropping and the like caused by too long switching preparation time can be reduced. Meanwhile, data transmission links are rebuilt, therefore, the normal transmission of a signaling and data after switching can be ensured.
