Abstract

The invention provides a general USB (Universal Serial Bus) based equipment firmware updating method. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) providing a control computer and intelligent equipment; (2) electrically connecting the intelligent equipment with the control computer by utilizing a USB through a USB interface; (3) running a firmware upgrading program upper computer by the control computer and providing a man-machine friendly guide type updating operation and display interface for a user; (4) running a firmware updating program lower computer by the intelligent equipment; (5) sending an operation command of the user to the firmware updating program lower computer by the firmware updating program upper computer to control the intelligent equipment to switch to a firmware updating mode; (6) acquiring a new edition firmware program by the firmware updating program and downloading the new edition program into the firmware updating program lower computer by blocks; and (7) acquiring all blocked programs by the firmware updating program lower computer, then combining, splicing and checking, and prompting the user whether the firmware updating is successful or not.
