Abstract

The invention discloses a method, a device and wireless access point equipment for realizing the hot backup of a wireless controller. The method comprises that: an access point (AP) performs the hot backup with the access controller (AC) connected with the AP; when detecting the AC fails, the AP informs the other APs connected with the AC of switching to MESH network connection, provides a service for a wireless client by a MESH network with the other APs and backs-up the access information of the client during the failure of the AC; and when detecting the AC is recovered from the failure, the AP synchronizes the access information, backed-up during the failure of the AC, of the client to the AC, and recovers communication with the AC together with the other APs. By the method, the deviceand the wireless access point equipment, the hot backup of the AC is realized by utilizing the APs connected with the AC under the condition of not increasing the number of the AC so as to solve the problem of relatively higher networking cost caused by the needs of the hot backup in a plurality of ACs in the prior art.
