Abstract

The invention provides a system and method for realizing synchronous sharing of multimedia files between mobile terminals. The system comprises a synchronous sharing service module, a wireless network and multiple mobile clients connected with the synchronous sharing service module through the wireless network. The method comprises the steps of initiating a synchronous sharing request; establishing a connection session; synchronously sharing and playing multimedia files; controlling the state of the synchronous sharing; and synchronously sharing the multimedia files again. By adopting the mobile terminals as clients of initiating the synchronous sharing request by the mobile client or as clients requested to synchronously share and adopting the mobile terminals or independents server as synchronous sharing servers, the mobile terminals are not limited by distance, and the synchronous sharing and playing of the multimedia files are realized.
