Embodiment Construction

[0023] With reference to the figures, the device according to the invention, indicated generally at 1 , comprises an element 2 for holding a yarn 3 , a clamping element 4 and a cutting element 5 .

[0024] The holding element 2 has a laminated body with a recess 6 on one side adapted to receive the yarn 3 to be clamped and cut.

[0025] The clamping element 4 also has a laminated body, the clamping element 4 being arranged on the side of the holding element 2 with one side facing the one side of the holding element 2 .

[0026] The retaining element 2 and the clamping element 4 are elastically urged towards each other on their sides facing each other by means of springs or using the elastic deflection of the laminated bodies of the retaining element 2 and / or the clamping element 4 .

[0027] The cutting element 5 preferably also has a laminated body, one side of the cutting element 5 facing the side of the holding element 2 opposite to the side facing the clamping element 4 . ...

Abstract

A yam gripping and cutting device, particularly for striping yam fingers for knitting machines or the like, comprising an element (2) for holding the yam (3) which has a laminar body having, on one of its sides, a recess (6) adapted to receive the yam (3) to be gripped and cut. Laterally to the holding element (2), on mutually opposite sides, there is respectively a gripping element (4) and a cutting element (5). The holding element (2) and the gripping element (4) are pushed elastically toward each other on their mutually facing sides. The holding element (2) is movable with respect to the gripping element (4) and to the cutting element (5) along an actuation direction (7) to pass from a standby position, in which the recess (6) is arranged at least partially outside the space occupation of the gripping element (4) and of the cutting element (5) in order to receive the yam (3) to be gripped and cut, which straddles the recess (6) transversely to the actuation direction (7), to a retention position, in which the recess (6) is retracted between the gripping element (4) and the cutting element (5) to perform, in succession, the retention of a portion of the yam (3), by way of its traction between the mutually facing sides of the holding element (2) and of the gripping element (4), and the cutting of the yam (3), by way of the interference of the yam (3) with the cutting element (5), and vice versa. The device comprises spacing means (11), which are interposed between the holding element (2) and the gripping element (4) in order to limit the extent of the stresses on the yam (3) during its traction between the holding element (2) and the gripping element (4).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a yarn clamping and cutting device for a thread changing shuttle of a knitting machine. Background technique [0002] In the field of knitting machines, yarn guides are known, they are called "thread adjustment shuttles" and are usually used in modules, for each yarn guide is equipped with a suitable yarn clamping and cutting device, during the production process In , the yarn guide allows changing the yarn supplied to the knitting needles at the feed or drop of the knitting machine. [0003] One of these components of the thread changing shuttle is disclosed, for example, in the applicant's patent EPA07802212.6. [0004] Yarn gripping and cutting devices generally comprise a retaining element with a laminated body, on one side of which a recess is formed, adapted to receive the yarn to be gripped and cut. The holding element is interposed between a clamping element and a cutting element, which also have laminated bodies, fac...
