Abstract

The method comprises the following steps: (1), providing an insulting body, wherein the insulting body is provided with a bottom panel that can be installed to an external circuit board and the bottom panel is provide with a plurality of terminal grooves in a concave mode; (2), providing a plurality of conductive terminals, wherein one ends of all the conductive terminals are connected with a material tape; (3), bending one end of each the conductive terminal that is obtained by the step (2) to form a butt joint portion andbending the other end of each the conductive terminal to form a welding portion; (4), pressing and installing the conductive terminals that are obtained in the step (3) into the terminal grooves in adirection that is perpendicular to the bottom panel; (5), carrying out hot riveting on the terminal grooves to make the conductive terminals be held in the terminal grooves; (6), cutting off the material tape of the conductive terminals. According to the invention, when the electric connector is assembled, the conductive terminals are directly pressed into the insulating body vertically and then hot riveting is carried out; the cooperation is simple and the electric connector can be assembled automatically.
