Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for implementing a web-based user interface on a mobile terminal that is connected to a communication network. The apparatus for implementing a web-based user interface of the present invention comprises: a platform library provided on a mobile terminal, which provides at least one of the following functions with a script program: graphic user interface, display rearrangement, context management, terminal engine compatibility, communications, data storage and management, dynamic module management, and animation effects; a script execution layer provided on the mobile terminal receives the script program from a program server and executes the program with the platform library; and a program manager provided on the program server, which is designated an URL from the script execution layer and downloaded to the mobile terminal and executed thereby, and forms a terminal user interface from an interface configuration information data file received from a program manager server, which is provided on the program server, which manages the interface configuration information of the mobile terminal for each user, and provides the interface configuration information data file according to the requests of the program manager, wherein the script program provided on the program server is written from the script and the platform library.
