The device supporting the software specification development is provided with a proposition specification accepting unit, a decision table manufacturing unit and a compatibility verifying unit. If the decision table manufacturing unit can be used for obtaining specification of various propositional forms from the proposition specification accepting unit, then as for every specification of the propositional forms, lines of the decision table can be manufactured through fetching a conditional part and a result part of the specification of the propositional form, columns of a line of a row corresponding to the specification of the propositional form, the compatibility verifying unit is used for fetching specifications of any two propositional forms of the propositional forms from the decision table, judging whether logic product of conditional parts of the specifications of the two propositional forms is satisfied or not, if yes, then each mutual contradiction of the specifications of the propositional forms can be output.
