Abstract

The invention provides a circuit for controlling the constancy of an LED light output and a method thereof. An light output of a reference LED light source with a same light attenuation rate or a proportional attenuation rate with a main output LED lamp is collected, the collected light output is converted into an electrical signal, the electrical signal is compared with an electrical signal of a reference light output, thus an output current of a drive circuit is controlled, and the light output of the reference LED light source is adjusted such that the collected electrical signal of the light output is equal to the electrical signal of the reference light output. Since the drive circuit supplies power to the main output LED lamp and the reference LED light source at the same time, thus while adjusting the light output of the reference LED light source, a light output of the LED lamp is adjusted indirectly. The reference LED light source is arranged into a closed space without an influence of an external environment, and the collected light output is accurate. According to the circuit and the method, the constancy of the LED light output of the main output LED lamp can be ensured, and reserving margin for light attenuation additionally is not needed.
