Abstract

According to the present invention, a special transparent cross rule is placed on a root crown position on a chopped tree by adopting pith as a circle center, wherein the cross rule has a cross type, and is transparent, a width of the rule is 1 cm, four directions of the cross rule is engraved with length scales, and each length scale is 25 cm; an ordinary camera is adopted to shoot annual rings placed with the cross rule, and a result is recorded; the cross rule on the photo is adopted to establish a coordinate system, one rule part of the cross rule is adopted as an X axis, one rule part is adopted as a Y axis, rule center of the cross rule is adopted as a coordinate origin, a coordinate relation is established through the coordinate of the photo and the scale of the cross rule, and intersection point coordinates of various annual ring lines and the coordinate axis are respectively obtained; and finally an annual ring width is calculated by using the coordinate difference between intersection points of two adjacent annual ring lines.
