Abstract

Electronic equipment comprises a storage unit, an audio output port, an impedance detecting unit, a digital and analog converter, an audio gain module and a processing unit. The impedance detecting unit detects an impedance value of an audio output device connected to the audio output port externally. The digital and analog converter is used for converting an audio file into an analog signal. The storage unit is used for storing an audio output mode relation table. The processing unit is used for determining a range of the detected impedance value, determining a corresponding audio output mode, and controlling the electronic equipment in the audio output mode. The audio gain module corresponds to different gain values when in different audio output modes, and amplifies the analog signal according to the gain value corresponding to the current audio output mode and then outputs the amplified signal. The invention further provides an audio output control method. The electronic equipment and the audio output control method have the advantages that the electronic equipment has good sound playing effect, and the problem of sound distortion caused by mismatching between audio output and audio output devices is avoided.
