Problems solved by technology

[0007] However, in the event of a permanent failure such as contact with a tree or disconnection, the failure will reoccur even if the CB is turned on again after the set reconnection no-voltage time elapses.
Reconnecting the CB while the fault continues like this will cause damage to the system equipment (CB, transformer, or transmission line, etc.), which in turn will affect the stability of the power system

Abstract

This invention provides a protection relay (1) that protects the power transmission lines of a three-phase AC power system (20). In response to detection of a fault, the protection relay (1) opens a CB (4a) of the fault phase for which the fault has occurred. After opening the CB (4a), the protection relay (1) determines, on the basis of a voltage measurement value (VL) of the fault phase detected by a VT (3), whether the fault has been eliminated. If having determined that the fault has been eliminated, the protection relay (1) closes the CB (4a) again.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a protective relay device with reconnection function. Background technique [0002] In the past, known applications such as Figure 15 The 2-terminal power system of the protective relay device 10 is shown. The current detected by CT (current transformer: current transformer) (current transformer for measuring instruments) 2 and the opening and closing of electrodes indicating CB (circuit breaker: circuit breaker) (circuit breaker) 4 are input to protective relay device 10 status signal. The protective relay device 10 detects a fault based on the current detected by the CT. When the protective relay device 10 detects a failure, it outputs a cutoff signal to the CB 4 to make the electrodes of the CB 4 open (open). Cut off the fault current by opening CB 4. Turning on (ie closing) the CB 4 again after opening the CB 4 is referred to as reclosing or reconnecting. After the CB 4 is disconnected, the power failure time can be s...
