Abstract

The invention discloses a positioning information reporting method and a terminal thereof, which are applied to the field of a digital trunking communication system. The positioning information reporting method comprises the following steps: after the terminal receives a forward SWI (service with information) signaling which is sent from a system side and is used as a positioning information reporting request, the terminal replies a reverse SWI signaling for confirming reception of the request to the system side; and after the terminal positions position information, the terminal judges whether the position information is valid, if so, the terminal reports the position information to the system side through the reserve SWI signaling. Through the positioning information reporting method and the terminal thereof, invalid interactive signalings between the terminal and the system side are reduced, so that the impact of an empty burden caused by the positioning information report on a base station is reduced while the terminal can report the position information to the system side.
