A power manager with a load compensation function and a control method are applicable to control of a power supply and used for supplying power to a load. The power manager comprises a converter and a control circuit, the converter comprises a load signal received at a first point and a load compensation signal outputted at a second point, the converter is used for converting the load signal into the load compensation signal, the load signal approximately corresponds to an output power supplied by the power supply to the load, and the converter is provided with a low-pass filter and is coupled between the first point and the second point. The control circuit is coupled to an inductance element through a feedback point and is used for controlling the output power according to a feedback voltage provided by the feedback point and a preset voltage, so that a step voltage of the inductance element approximates a target voltage.
