Abstract

The invention relates to a cooktop (1) comprising a continuous glass or glass-ceramic support plate (2) including a treatment area (4) that can support a cooking container (50) provided with rotating blades (53) connected to an upper magnetic coupling member (54). An actuating motor (6) is provided below the support plate (2), which motor is operatively connected in order to rotate a lower magnetic coupling member (5) located under the treatment area (4). The cooktop (1) and the cooking container (50) include respective constituent components of means for detecting a change in the angular position of the cooking container (50) with respect to the treatment area (4) and control means (30) configured to alter or stop the operation of the actuating motor (6) upon detection of a change in the angular position.
