[0047] In order to better understand the present invention, first introduce the network architecture involved in the present invention, figure 1 It is a schematic diagram of the network architecture involved in the present invention, such as figure 1 As shown, the network includes: a packet switching device 11, a policy control device (PCRF) 12, and a network cache device 13; wherein, the packet switching device 11, such as a GGSN in a mobile network, is responsible for broadband user access packets network and connect user traffic to the Internet. The policy control device 12, that is, the PCRF, is defined in 3GPP and is responsible for policy control and charging. There is a standard Gx interface between the PCRF 12 and the packet switching device 11 . The packet switching device 11 reports user services to the PCRF 12, and the PCRF 12 determines to implement different policies for different services. The network caching device 13 is generally deployed at the convergence l...

Abstract

The invention discloses a cache method based on policy control. The method comprises that a packet switch device is used for adding a user marker of transferred data to a packet data packet and sending the user marker of the transferred data to a network cache device which extracts the user marker and reports the user marker of the transferred data and/or business information to a policy control device (PCRF), the PCRF enables the user marker and/or the business information to be related to a corresponding cache business policy and sends the cache business policy to the network cache device, and the network cache device executes a cache operation according to the cache business policy. The invention further discloses a corresponding cache system, the network cache device is enabled not to work independently and to be combined with a packet network, and a customized cache service is provided for a user according to defined different policies in the PCRF. An interactive customized cache service can be provided for users of different levels and/or businesses of different levels.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a network cache technology in the Internet, in particular to a cache method and system based on policy control. Background technique [0002] With the development of the Internet, peer-to-peer (Peer-to-Peer, P2P) downloads, hypertext transfer protocol (HyperText Transfer Protocol, HTTP) online video and other applications are more and more widely used, and their traffic has occupied 60-70% of the backbone network or even Higher or higher bandwidth, it can be predicted that the growth rate of future bandwidth is far from meeting the bandwidth requirements of Internet applications. In the case of insufficient total bandwidth, the development of new applications consumes a large amount of bandwidth, and the insufficient bandwidth will affect the experience of some users' basic applications, such as web page (WEB) browsing. [0003] At the same time, the foundation of the existing mobile Internet is the wireless network, and the d...
