Abstract

The present invention provides a front unit of a display device, which prevents infiltration of liquid such as oil. The front unit of the display device is provided with the following components: a panel which is provided with an edge part and a square-cylinder-shaped body part that accommodates the display device, wherein the edge part extends from the front end of the body part to outside, and furthermore projections are formed on the upper edge and the lower edge; a protective sheet which is configured on the front surface of the edge part for protecting the display device; and a flange which is provided with a side surface part and a front surface part, wherein the side surface part is cylindrical and allows insertion of the edge part. The inner cylindrical surface is provided with recess parts which correspond with the projections. The front surface part is provided with an opening which is configured at the front end of the side surface part. A projection is formed at the back surface side in a manner of surrounding the opening. The flange is equipped on the edge part in a manner of sandwiching the protective sheet between the flange and the front surface of the edge part. The height dimension of the lower edge of the edge part is larger than the height dimension of the projection of the upper edge of the edge part.
