Abstract

The card edge connector with the metal reinforcement structure is provided with an insulation body, a plurality of upper electric conduction terminals, a plurality of lower electric conduction terminals and a plurality of card slots, wherein contact portions of the upper electric conduction terminals and contact portions of the lower electric conduction terminals are respectively inserted into the card slots. The card edge connector with the metal reinforcement structure is further provided with a thermoplastic insulation filling body and metal reinforcement slices, wherein the metal reinforcement slices and a plurality of lower electric conduction terminals are all combined with the thermoplastic insulation filling body in inbuilt mode so as to form a lower electric conduction terminal subassembly, and the lower electric conduction terminal subassembly is assembled on the insulation body. Due to the combination, the lower electric conduction terminal subassembly becomes a composite body provided with the thermoplastic insulation filling body and the metal reinforcement slices, so that intensity of the lower electric conduction terminal subassembly is greatly strengthened, and furthermore the card edge connector can provide stable and reliable connections even under use conditions with extremely lower mounting heights.
