Abstract

In the method, a brightest star in a field of view is selected as a reference star, the reference star and neighboring stars are connected to form a radial star pattern, a candidate reference star matching group is obtained through a matching probability method, then, the neighboring stars are used for forming a directed loop model, and based on the principle of integral matching and a longest matching chain, an optimal matching group is selected as a final recognition result. In comparison with the prior art, the method has the advantages of high success rate of star pattern recognition, high recognition speed, and so on. The star pattern recognition method provided by the invention can guarantee that the star pattern recognition success rate reaches 99% and the recognition speed reaches 5-10 HZ when the position error of stellar image points is superior to a 0.1 pixel.
