The method comprises the steps of shooting skin of a to-be-tested user through a camera of the mobile phone, calculating state parameters of the skin according to a skin image obtained by shooting, and identifying the skin state according to the calculated state parameters of the skin. Further disclosed is the mobile phone. The mobile phone is capable of detecting the skin state. The mobile phone comprises the camera, a storage module and a processing unit, wherein the camera is used for scanning the skin so as to generate the skin image, the storage module is used for storing the skin image obtained by scanning, and the processing unit is used for calculating the state parameters of the skin according to the skin image obtained by scanning. According to the method, the camera of the mobile phone is used for scanning the skin, and the state parameters of the skin are calculated and identified according to the skin image generated by scanning.
