The method comprises the steps: base layer 3DV encoding operation is conducted to a color image and a depth image of a leftmost viewpoint and a rightmost viewpoint so that a base layer code stream is obtained; the base layer code stream is decoded so that color image reconfiguration and depth image reconfiguration of the leftmost viewpoint and the rightmost viewpoint are obtained; viewpoint synthesis is conducted according to the color image reconfiguration and the depth image reconfiguration of the leftmost viewpoint and the rightmost viewpoint so that a color image and a depth image of at least one synthesized middle viewpoint are obtained; a color image and a depth image of at least one middle viewpoint are compared with the color image and the depth image of the at least one synthesized middle viewpoint so that a color image residual error and a depth image residual error of the at least one middle viewpoint are obtained through calculation; reinforced layer 3DV encoding operation is conducted to the color image residual error and the depth image residual error of the at least one middle viewpoint so that a reinforced layer code stream is obtained; and the base layer code stream and the reinforced layer code stream are combined to be an extensible code stream and sent.
