Abstract

A method for operating an internal combustion engine is presented, in which test injections are carried out in order to adjust injection parameters for controlling the injection process during operation of the internal combustion engine. For this purpose, during the test injection, a negative torque pulse is generated by an electric machine coupled to the internal combustion engine, which counteracts the torque pulse generated by the test injection, in synchronization with the positive torque pulse generated by the test injection . In this way, rotational speed fluctuations due to test injections are avoided. This internal combustion engine will also be presented.
