Problems solved by technology

Prior art devices provided with tilting elements may suffer from being out of sync with redundant data streams
Possible results are loss of important data or significant time delays in the eye-tracking function, thus compromising reliable determination of parameters characterizing the captured eye

Embodiment Construction

[0060] In the drawings, the same elements or elements having the same function are given the same reference numerals. figure 2 , 3 and 4 show the same frame of reference with a Cartesian coordinate system and vertical axes x, y and z.

[0061] Figures 1A to 1D An optical measuring device is shown, in the form of a spectacle device 1 or an eye-tracking device, respectively. The eyeglass device 1 is designed so that a person can wear it on his head, like a usual pair of eyeglasses. It comprises a frame 4 with two side bars 51 and 5r which support the spectacle device 1 on the ears of the person wearing it. In addition, the eyeglass device 1 is held in place on the head by the nose pad 7 . The main frame has a specific width w1 and height h. Its length l depends on the lengths of the side bars 5l and 5r. as in Figure 1C As seen in , the side bars 5l and 5r are hinged to the front of the frame 4 so that the distance w2 between the side bars 5l and 5r can be enlarged or s...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for determining at least one parameter of two eyes (10l, 10r) of a test person (31), the method comprising the following steps: optically capturing of a first eye (10l; 10r) of the two eyes (10l, 10r) by means of a first capturing unit (3l; 3r); optically capturing the second eye (10r; 10l) of the two eyes (10l, 10r) by means of a second capturing unit (3r; 3l); transmitting first signals concerning the captured first eye (10l; 10r) from the first capturing unit (3l; 3r) to an analysis unit (27) and transmitting second signals concerning the captured second eye (10r; 10l) from the second capturing unit (3r; 3l) to the analysis unit (27); and determining the at least one parameter of the two eyes (10l, 10r) on the basis of the transmitted first and second signals in the analysis unit (27), characterized by the following step: setting a first data rate for the first signals and a second data rate for the second signals, wherein the first and the second data rate differ from each other, and wherein the transmitting of the first signals is effected at a first data rate and the transmitting of the second signals is effected at a second data rate.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for determining at least one parameter of both eyes of a test person, said method comprising the steps of: optically capturing a first of the two eyes by a first capture unit; optically capturing said eye by a second capture unit The second of the two eyes; the first signal for the first captured eye is transmitted from the first capture unit to the analysis unit and the second signal for the second captured eye is transmitted from the second capture unit to the analysis unit ; and determining at least one parameter of the two eyes based on the transmitted first and second signals in the analysis unit. The invention also relates to an optical measuring device for determining at least one parameter of both eyes of a test person. Background technique [0002] The use of head-mounted eye-tracking devices is known from the prior art. US RE39,539E discloses a device for monitoring eye movements of a person. The s...
