Abstract

Provided are an electrical storage device and a method for manufacturing the electrical storage device. When attempting to connect the positive electrode internal terminal to the bent portion of the power generating element, the bent portion may be deformed. A power storage device (1) has a power generating element (20), a case (10) housing the power generating element, and electrode terminals (24, 25, 31, 32) connected to the power generating element. The electrode plates of the power generation element are wound with separators interposed therebetween, and have a reaction region (A) where charge and discharge reactions occur. The electrode plate has a current collector plate and an active material layer formed on a part of the current collector plate. The connection regions ( R11 , R12 ) adjacent to the reaction region in the power generating element are connected to the electrode terminals in a state where the current collector plates on which no active material layer is formed are overlapped among the electrode plates. The power generating element has a bent portion in which the electrode plate is folded back, and a cut portion ( 26 a ) in which a part of the connection region is cut at a position adjacent to the bent portion. The electrode terminal is fixed to the cut portion.
