Example Embodiment

[0034] See figure 1 The flow of the method for objectively measuring speech intelligibility based on the auditory masking effect in this embodiment is:

[0035] Step 1: Framing the reference signal x(n) and the output signal y(n) after the reference signal passes through the communication or voice transmission system. The frame length ranges from 25ms to 64ms, and each frame overlaps by 1 / 8. ~1 / 3 frame length, and the m-th frame reference signal and output signal are expressed as x m (n) and y m (n). figure 2 The signal waveform shown is an example of a reference signal to illustrate the method of the present invention x m (n), image 3 for figure 2 The output signal frame y after the signal shown passes through the communication or voice transmission system m (n).

[0036] Step 2: Taking the frame as the basic analysis unit, perform short-term power spectrum estimation on the reference signal and output signal of each frame (the amplitude is expressed by sound pressure level), an...

Abstract

The invention discloses a speech intelligibility measuring method based on an auditory masking effect. The speech intelligibility measuring method based on the auditory masking effect is characterized by comprising the steps that (1) the auditory masking threshold of reference signals and the auditory masking threshold of output signals are estimated respectively according to a psychological acoustic model in the ISO/IEC11172-3 standard in the mode of carrying out frame division on the reference signals and the output signals obtained by enabling the reference signals to pass through a communication transmission system or a speech transmission system, and using the frame as a basic unit; (2) audible components in the reference signals and audible components in the output signals are extracted according to the auditory masking thresholds; (3) the amplitude of the audible components of the reference signals and the amplitude of audible components of the output signals are converted into the loudness according to the ISO226-2003 standard equal-loudness level curve, the sensing similarity, the speech information fidelity and the sensing signal to noise ratio of signals in each frame are calculated, and then the degree of distortion of the output signals is obtained; (4) intelligibility prediction is carried out on the output signals according to a curve of the relation between the degree of distortion and intelligibility. Compared with a common speech intelligibility objective measuring method at present, the speech intelligibility measuring method based on the auditory masking effect is higher in measuring accuracy.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an objective measurement method of speech intelligibility based on input / output, in particular to a method for measuring speech intelligibility based on auditory masking effect. Background technique [0002] Intelligibility is an important quality factor of speech signals, and it is widely used in hall design, medical research (such as hearing aids, cochlear implants, hearing impairment, etc.), speech enhancement, sound reinforcement system and communication system performance testing and other fields. [0003] According to different evaluation subjects, intelligibility measurement can be divided into subjective and objective. Subjective intelligibility measurement is the most basic and commonly used means of intelligibility evaluation through the subjective evaluation of the speech signal directly by the listener. However, due to the large amount of manpower and material resources required to organize a rigorous listening tes...
