Abstract

The invention discloses a pedestrian retrieval method for processing occlusion based on sparse representation. The invention first uses block-based similarity matching to obtain the distance measure between the query pedestrian and the pedestrian to be tested, and then uses the sparse representation method to obtain the query pedestrian and the pedestrian to be tested. The degree of occlusion between pedestrians, and finally, the similarity between pedestrian pairs is calculated by combining the distance measure and the degree of occlusion, which improves the accuracy of matching the same pedestrian under multiple cameras.
