Abstract

The invention discloses a method for sending a public pilot frequency. The method is applied to a network which is deployed in a new carrier wave type and introduced through LTE R12. Each subframe which sends a CRS and is borne on new carrier waves through a base station in the network contains two time slots. The method comprises the steps that when the CRS is sent by the base station through any PRB of any subframe, the CRS is sent on one of the two time slots corresponding to the PRB, and the CRS is not sent on the other of the two time slots. Based on the same conception, the invention discloses the base station. Under the condition that the full bandwidth is occupied by the CRS, the pilot frequency density on a frequency domain can be reduced.
