Abstract

The invention discloses a method, apparatus and system for detecting the parking space occupation status of a vehicle. The method comprises: arranging a magnetic substance inside or surround a parking space; detecting whether a vehicle exists in the parking space by use of the magnetic substance and the absorption effect of the vehicle, and when the vehicle enters the parking space, first excitation currents are generated through the electromagnetic induction between the magnetic substance and the vehicle; and according to the first excitation currents, sending a radio frequency identification signal indicating that the parking space is occupied. By applying the method, apparatus and system provided by the embodiments of the invention, when the vehicle enters or leaves the parking space, the space occupation status can be detected in a passive mode, and active real-time signal detection is unnecessary, thus energy loss can be reduced.
