A wireless charging method for an electronic device using an electromagnetic radiation (EMR) circuit is provided. The wireless charging method includes receiving an event input through the EMR circuit, controlling an input function according to a signal received through the EMR circuit in response to an input event, and controlling a wireless charging of a target device or electronic device using energy generated through the EMR circuit in response to a charge event.

The ultrasound therapeutic system of the present invention generally includes a generator unit, at least one transducer treatment head, and a programmable controller. The generator is in operable communication with the at least one transducer treatment head such that electric power outputted from the generator to the head is converted into acoustic power by the head. Re-programmable software at the controller generally controls all features and functions for the system. The lasing device also comprises a detector for determining the lasing power of the lasing device, and a controllable phase shift capability, and the device is preferably locked to a maximum of the lasing power by adjusting the phase, thereby achieving locking to a wavelength predetermined by the etalon, aligned to an ITU grid wavelength. Adjusting the phase shift to achieve the maximum of the lasing power is preferably performed using a closed loop system. Furthermore, adjusting of the phase shift to achieve a maximum of the lasing power is preferably also operative to wave lock the lasing device to a peak wavelength of the etalon.

Transmission/reception power can be controlled properly. At a radio apparatus, SIR measuring sections measure individual SIRs of sub-carriers included in a multi-carrier signal received at radio apparatus. An NMR apparatus comprising a superconducting magnet coil system, in particular, an NMR spectrometer, with a cryostat which comprises an outer shell and a helium tank which contains the magnet coil system, and with an NMR probe head which is disposed in a room temperature bore of the cryostat and which contains a cooled RF resonator for receiving NMR signals from a sample to be examined and is cooled, together with the NMR probe head, by a cold head of a common, multi-stage, compressor-operated refrigerator, is characterized in that the cold head of the refrigerator is disposed in a neck tube, the upper end of which is connected to the outer shell of the cryostat and the lower end of which is connected to the helium tank in such a manner that the neck tube and the helium tank delimit a helium space, with at least one cooling circuit with thermally insulated transfer lines being provided between the helium space and the NMR probe head, wherein the cryogenic helium in the helium space is used as coolant for the cooling circuit. This produces an NMR apparatus which cools a plurality of elements at different temperature levels using only one single cryocooler to optimally utilize the cooling resources of the refrigerator.

A balanced charging/discharging circuit for a lithium battery set, including a plurality of serially connected lithium batteries each having a positive electrode controlled by a corresponding control signal to selectively establish connection with a positive electrode of a battery charging circuit, and a negative electrode controlled by a corresponding control signal to selectively establish connection with a negative electrode of the battery charging circuit. Voltage of the positive and negative electrodes of each of the serially connected lithium batteries is transmitted to a corresponding terminal of a control circuit respectively so that the control circuit generates a corresponding transfer signal to the battery charging circuit and supplies the control signal to establish connection of a corresponding series of lithium batteries for charging. Battery sets arranged in series or in parallel can be charged with the maximum current and the service life is extended and charging time is shortened.

When a wind velocity sensor detects a wind velocity higher than a predetermined level, a timer device starts a waiting timer function during an operation timer period shorter than the waiting timer period. After the waiting timer period is over, the waiting timer function is switched to an operation timer function, and a switching relay switches a generator to a motor only during an operation timer period. In accordance with the invention, a postal security device (PSD) (10) contains a non-volatile memory (13) which does not depend on battery power such as an EEPROM (13), and contains a nonvolatile memory (14, 16) which does depend on battery power, such as a static RAM. The PSD (10) also contains an encryption engine (12, 14, 22). An encryption key is developed and is stored in the static RAM (14), which is sized to be only large enough to contain the encryption key. Methods and systems are provided for a vehicle engine. One example method comprises delivering a first fuel to an engine cylinder at least partially during an intake stroke, and initiating combustion in the cylinder via injection of a second fuel into the cylinder. Responsive to an indication of uncontrolled combustion of pre-mixed first fuel and air in the cylinder, wherein the uncontrolled combustion is onset by the initiated combustion of the second fuel, amounts of the first fuel relative to the second fuel in the cylinder are adjusted.

Platform independent distributed software that constructs a security management infrastructure for different locations is described. The software includes a control manager module regulating access to critical business assets. The control manager interfaces with and bridges various type of biometric software and hardware systems. The software further includes a tracking model consisting of a custom report generation tool for monitoring people, business critical assets, and events in any particular location. In addition to tracking and access control, the software provides an event notification service for registering, monitoring, and storing primary/composite events into a modeled event history database. The software is integrated into three components. One component is the company headquarters integrated with platform independent legacy software comprising multi-tiered ERP and business packages for cross domain security management and monitoring. Another component is the managed location where the access control regions are held and the main tracking software is installed. The final component is the client software integrated with the biometric devices, regulating authentication for people, assets, and/or events.

A single semiconductor power module includes a power semiconductor chip including an embedded IGBT (the power semiconductor switching-device) and a control semiconductor chip. The power semiconductor chip also includes a gate series resistor integrated therein as a resistor through which the control semiconductor chip drives the power semiconductor chip. In such a configuration, a gate wire between the gate series resistor and a gate has a small lead inductance and a small parasitic capacitance with respect to the ground.

Described is an improved decoder that reduces the number of bounds checks needed for typical compressed data by first guaranteeing that there is sufficient room to decode small symbol substrings and literal symbols, whereby bounds checking need not be performed on each symbol. Because literal symbols and small substrings of symbols form the majority of compressed data, the reduced checking significantly speeds up decoding on average. In one implementation, a fast LZ77 decoder that operates without bounds checking is used in a first phase until the end of the output buffer is neared at which time a second phase standard decoder, which performs bounds checks on each to ensure that the buffer does not overflow, is used. Normally the standard decoder decompresses only a small amount of data relative to the amount of data decompressed with the fast decoder, greatly improving decompression speed while not compromising safety.

A fuel gas passage, an oxygen-containing gas passage, and a coolant passage extend through a fuel cell stack. Each of the fuel gas passage and the oxygen-containing gas passage is formed by serially connecting passages between the first through third fuel cell modules. Flywheel energy storage devices and extremely reliable, high power DC/DC converters provide at a lower cost, more reliable, noise and harmonic free, critical electrical power directly at equipment racks at 48 VDC, 24 VDC, 6 VDC, 2 VDC, or any other desired DC voltage level.

Predistortion may be employed to avoid distortion in the output of a power amplifier (PA) in a transmitter, while maintaining transmit power. An active transmission signal, instead of test tones, may be used for training a predistorter for the PA, and for the entire analog transmit path of the transmitter, via a loopback path from the output of the PA to the input of a receiver path. The transmitter may include an upconverter, and the receive path may include a downconverter, which may therefore both be included in the loopback path, helping eliminate phase noise. The predistortion training may incorporate fractional timing correction, to properly align the amplified version of the original TX signal received via the loopback path with the original TX signal. The transfer function of the PA may be estimated as a polynomial function, obtaining the coefficients of the polynomial function using adaptation techniques according to one of a number of possible different methods, e.g. through curve fitting using a least mean square (LMS) algorithm.

An impact driver 1 includes a motor 3; a rectifying circuit 23; an inverter circuit 20; and an arithmetic part 24. The rectifying circuit 23 is configured to rectify an input voltage from a commercial power supply 30. The decoder includes a memory, the memory storing onboard software, and the decoder is operable in a run mode to execute the onboard software. The method comprises: activating a power saving mode on the decoder; and upon activating the power saving mode: maintaining power to the memory; suspending execution of the onboard software; acquiring an execution context of the onboard software; updating the execution context of the onboard software to form an updated execution context; and saving the updated execution context in the memory.
