Abstract

A system for simultaneously forming and filling a container has a mold cavity defining an interior surface and adapted to receive a preform. The system includes a servo pressure system having an inlet and an outlet operable to output fluid (such as a liquid commodity); and a blow nozzle that receives fluid from the servo pressure source and delivers the fluid into the preform at a pressure that forces The preform expands towards the inner surface of the mold cavity, creating a resulting container, wherein the fluid remains within the container as a final product, the servo pressure system and the blowing nozzle in less than about 0.5 seconds The fluid is delivered at a rate sufficient to completely form and fill the container for a period of time.
