The invention provides a power system stabilizer (PSS) coordinative optimization method for improving the transporting capabilities of multiple small hydropower stations. The method includes the following steps: 1) through transient-state stable time-domain simulation, determining dominant low-frequency oscillation modes restraining the transporting capabilities of the small hydropower stations; 2) through small-interference-stability frequency domain scanning, determining generator sets which take part in the dominant low-frequency oscillation modes; 3) through comprehensive index calculation, determining a set which takes part in PSS parameter optimization; 4) targeting at improving the damping of the dominant oscillation modes of the small hydropower stations, carrying out set PSS parameter coordinative optimization; 5) through the transient stable time-domain simulation, evaluating the improving effect of the transporting capabilities of the small hydropower stations. The PSS coordinative optimization method for improving the transporting capabilities of the multiple small hydropower stations is capable of improving a low-frequency oscillation damping characteristic of a plurality of small hydropower stations during concentrated transportation and improving the transportation capabilities of the plurality of small hydropower stations.
