Abstract

The invention relates to a DRX technology, and discloses an activation time calculating method and device used for solving the problem of unable to enter an activation state at an accurate time in a UE using expansion DRX period; the method comprises the following steps: a network side informs a serial number of a present SFN period in DRX period expansion to the UE, and the UE can calculate the activation time of the UE according to the serial number and a preset expansion DRX period length; therefore, when the expansion DRX period is bigger than the SFN period, the UE can still calculate a right calling time or/and a business data reception time, so the activation state can be entered in the accurate time, thereby effectively preventing UE calling message or business data loss caused by calculation errors, and further ensuring business QoS of the UE, and improving system service performance.
