The switching equipment port MAC address binding method comprises the steps of sending a binding command in a port mode of a command line terminal of switching equipment, wherein the binding instruction is used for binding an MAC address in the binding command at the port; judging whether the MAC address is configured and bound for the port for the first time or not, wherein if the MAC address is configured and bound for the port, the dynamic MAC address learning capacity of the port is closed, a static MAC address configured and bound for the port and the learned dynamic MAC address are deleted, and then the MAC address in the command is written into a static MAC address forwarding table. The switching equipment port MAC address binding method enables one switching equipment port to be bound with multiple MAC addresses. The port only permits the MAC address or the target MAC address serving as an MAC data message bound with the MAC address to pass through after being subjected to MAC address binding, and data messages of other MAC addresses of the port are abandoned. A source MAC address or the target MAC address serving as data message bound with the MAC address can be also forwarded from the port and is directed abandoned at other ports, and accordingly the safety of a local area network is greatly improved.
