A photographing method and a device with a photographing function. The method is applied to a device with a photographing function, and comprises: when a photographing function is enabled, if it is judged that this device is in a stable state within a first preset duration, then automatically taking a photograph. The device comprises: an automatic photographing function module, which is set to detect whether a photographing function is enabled or not; a state detection module, which is set to judge whether this device is in a stable state or not within a first preset duration after the automatic photographing function module detects that the photographing function is enabled; and a photographing logical processing module, which is set to automatically take a photograph when the state detection module judges that this device is in the stable state within the first preset duration. The above-mentioned solution can realize an automatic photographing function, and solves the problem of it being easy to shake at the photographing time; solves the problem that it is difficult for a user to operate a shutter when a mobile terminal is used to take a photograph by himself/herself; and solves the problem that it is difficult for the user to use a rear lens of a camera to take a photograph by himself/herself.
