The method comprises the following steps that capability interaction is carried out between a first tele-presence endpoint and a second tele-presence endpoint, wherein a tele-presence endpoint capability set is carried in information for capacity interaction, wherein a tele-presence endpoint transmitting capability set is carried in the information for capacity interaction; the first tele-presence endpoint receives a mode request message of the second tele-presence endpoint; and the first tele-presence endpoint opens a logical channel between the first tele-presence endpoint and the second tele-presence endpoint according to a result of capability interaction and the received mode request message.
