Abstract

The expansion valve (1a) has an inlet port (20) provided on the valve main body (10) and supplied with high-pressure liquid refrigerant. The refrigerant flows into the valve chamber (22) through the small diameter portion (21), passes through the valve channel of the valve core (60) and the valve seat (24), and is sent to the evaporator from the orifice (26) and the outlet port (28). The spool driving device (40) controls the opening of the valve by operating the spool (60) through the action rod (50). The spool (60) is supported by an urging spring (80) via a spring holder (100). The spring holder (100) has a cylindrical pendant body (110) inserted into the biasing spring (80) to prevent refrigerant from flowing into the biasing spring (80). This action prevents the flow of the refrigerant from being disturbed, thereby eliminating the cause of the noise. According to the present invention, it is possible to prevent the noise caused by the disturbance of the flow of the high-pressure liquid refrigerant flowing into the valve chamber of the expansion valve.
