Abstract

A method and system for controlling a low voltage DC / DC converter (LDC) of a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) includes performing a test start including the steps of: attempting an ignition start, performing an immobilizer authentication process , and the main relay that connects the high voltage battery. After the test start, the LDC is controlled so that an operating voltage is applied from the LDC to electric loads including various controllers, thereby allowing start of the HEV.
