AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This technology optimizes how much space an encoder takes up when displaying images from cameras or other sensors. It uses multiple videos taken over time together with moving objects detected within them to create visually appealing displays for users who are looking towards their surroundings. By capturing both still frame and new ones during each scene period, the system predicts where they will move around without interfering too many things like humans. Once there, the code section analyzes the movements and stores any previous scenes until later needed again. Overall, this technology allows for efficient use of storage capacity while also providing better user experience through improved viewability compared to traditional methods such as film scanning.

Problems solved by technology

This patented describes how compressed images are stored on devices like heads mounted displays (HMD). However, there may also exist delays between transmitting different types of content such as depth cues from depth cameras during playback due to processing times required by these technologies. To address this issue, certain techniques have been proposed: 1) reducing latency while still maintaining quality videos without compromising their effectiveness over longer periods of time - seeks to improve the overall user experience when playing back immersively displayed media through special glasses worn around them's eyesight.2) performing motion estimation based upon temporal changes instead of directly measuring distance accurately, allowing users to interact better with objects shown inside the scenes being played remotely rather than just watching it yourself.

Embodiment

[0033] figure 1 It is a schematic diagram of the steps of the stereoscopic image encoding method with motion prediction according to the embodiment of the present invention.

[0034] A stereoscopic image encoding method with motion prediction, the method is used to perform image encoding of virtual reality technology, comprising the following steps,

[0035] Step 101 initializes each module of the system, and the encoding unit divides the real world and establishes a three-dimensional space storage table;

[0036] Step 201: Encode and store the images in the shooting range of the camera in real time, and continuously update the contents of each storage grid as the trajectory of the head changes;

[0037] Specifically, the high-definition camera of the head-mounted display replaces the position of the human eye, and captures images larger than the visual range of the human eye by 20° in real time; The content in each storage grid Mij is updated according to the constant chang...

Abstract

The invention provides a three-dimensional image coding method with a motion prediction function for a head-mounted display in virtual reality. The method comprises the following steps: dividing the real world by a coding unit and establishing a three-dimensional space storage table; coding the image in a shooting range of a camera in real time and storing lattices and continuously updating the content of each storage lattice along with change of the motion trail of the head; acquiring a motion trail curve of the head and analyzing the position of the lattice to be updated in the next visual window; taking out all data from the storage lattice in the to-be-updated lattice position for compressed coding and storing in a high speed internal storage device; and integrally fusing and displaying visual data of a virtual scene and the real world, input to an application processor, according to the current motion trail position. The method solves the problem of dizziness generated by image delay in a virtual reality technology. The invention further discloses a coding device which is compact in structure, low in cost, wide in application range and anti-dizziness based on virtualization technology and has a high data compression capacity.
