The rudder (40) is arranged aftward of the strut (34). The main propeller (20) and the pod propeller (33) contra-rotate. When the rudder angle of both the pod propulsion device (30) and the rudder (40) is zero, at least a part of the front edge (41) of the rudder (40) is more forward than the back edge (31a) of the casing (31). By this means, during high-speed sailing and steering, the CRP (Contra Rotating Propeller) effect is maintained, and it is possible to suppress increased resistance due to a rudder provided in addition to the pod propulsion device.
