Deformed example 1

[0094] The gradient calculation device 1 may further include a brake detection unit. Figure 5 It is a block diagram showing the configuration of the gradient calculation device 1 according to Modification 1. Such as Figure 5 As shown, the gradient calculation device 1 of Modification 1 further includes a brake detection unit 6 . In addition, since the structure other than the brake detection part 6 is the same as that of the said embodiment, detailed description is abbreviate|omitted.

[0095] The brake detection unit 6 detects the operating state of at least one of the front brake 107f and the rear brake 107r of the bicycle 101 . For example, the brake detection unit 6 may be a brake sensor that detects whether at least one of the front brake lever 108f and the rear brake lever 108r is gripped. The brake detection unit 6 outputs information on the operating state of the brake to the control unit 5 .

[0096] Such as Figure 6 As shown, the control unit 5 obtains the de...

[0100] The total weight m of the bicycle 101 and the rider in the above embodiments may be input by the rider, or may be preset. When the total weight is set in advance, for example, the average total weight m may be stored in the storage unit 51 in advance.

Deformed example 3

[0102] In the above embodiment, the first time t 1 Although it is the sampling interval of the speed detection part 4, specifically, it is the time for one rotation of the front wheel 106f, but it is not specifically limited to this. For example, the first time t 1 The time required for the front wheel 106f to rotate two times may be set, or the time required for the front wheel 106f to rotate three times or more may be set. Also, among other things, the first time t 1 The time can be set irrespective of the time when the front wheel 106f rotates. For example, the first time t 1 It can also be a preset time.

Abstract

The invention provides a slope calculation device. The slope calculation device basically includes at least one first detection sensor, a speed sensor, a data storage device and a control unit. The at least one first detection sensor detects at least one parameter related to a first energy inputted to a bicycle by a rider of the bicycle. The speed sensor detects a travel speed at which the bicycle is traveling. The data storage device stores a total weight of the bicycle and the rider. The control unit is programmed to determine the first energy based on the parameter detected by the first detection sensor, calculate a second energy based on the travel speed detected by the speed sensor and the total weight of the bicycle and the rider stored in the data storage device. The control unit is further programmed to calculate a slope based on the first energy and the second energy.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a gradient calculation device. Background technique [0002] When climbing a slope, the rider of the bicycle operates the transmission, the suspension device, etc. so that the slope can be climbed more easily. Therefore, when the bicycle is traveling, it is important to detect the gradient of the traveling path. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a bicycle that detects the gradient of a travel path with an inclination sensor (slope sensor) and automatically operates a transmission. [0003] prior art literature [0004] Patent Document 1: Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-108982. [0005] The aforementioned bicycle shift control unit operates the shifter based on information from the inclination sensor. However, the above-mentioned bicycle has a problem in that it is necessary to newly install an inclination sensor used only for detecting a slope. Contents of the invention [0006] An object of...
