Abstract

The invention discloses a detection method of the buried depth of a coal seam and a detection device of the buried depth of the coal seam, and relates to the field of geology and geophysics. A problem that the buried depth of the coal seam cannot be calculated and which is caused by a phenomenon of translation of an adjacent-measuring-point apparent resistivity curve due to a static effect influence caused by nonuniformity of surface electrical resistivity is overcome. The method comprises obtaining a sounding apparent resistivity curve of a to-be-evaluated detection point with a change of a detection frequency, determining a characteristic observation frequency corresponding to the apparent resistivity minimum on the sounding apparent resistivity curve, performing an analogy between the characteristic observation frequency of the detection point and a calculation coefficient template chart of the buried depth of a coal seam bottom plate of a detection region, and determining a buried depth value of the coal seam of the detection point. Through a geophysical electromagnetic detection manner, the buried depth of the coal seam is quantitatively calculated, an error brought by the translation of the adjacent-measuring-point apparent resistivity curve is prevented, and reliability of a geologic interpretation is improved.
