Abstract

An offshore pipeline construction traction device is composed of a submarine pipeline, upper semicircular steel plates, lower semicircular steel plates, high-strength bolts, reinforcing plates, a bottom truss, a blind flange, an exhaust port, a water filling port, a portal truss and a lifting hook. The semicircular steel plates are adopted by the traction device. Each upper steel plate and the corresponding lower steel plate are used in a pair. Round holes are drilled in each semicircular steel plate. Besides, nuts are welded to the round holes so that the high-strength bolts can be screwed into the round holes, and therefore the semicircular steel plates and the pipeline can be tightly combined. The end of the pipeline is connected with the blind flange. The export port used for air exhaust and the water filling port used for water filling are welded to the blind flange. The semicircular steel plates are welded to the bottom truss through the reinforcing plates, and the bottom truss, the portal truss and the lifting hook are welded together. The whole traction device and the pipeline can be more tightly connected and protected against disengagement because the semicircular steel plates are used in cooperation with the high-strength bolts.
